Tech Data's Curran Steps Down As Senior VP Of U.S. Sales

In a companywide e-mail late Monday, Nestor Cano, Tech Data's president of worldwide operations, said Curran will be leaving the company at the end of the month to spend more time with his family.

Terry Bazzone, a Tech Data veteran who is currently vice president and general manager of Tech Data Enterprise, will assume Curran's role effective immediately. Tech Data will conduct a search for Bazzone's replacement, Cano said.

Bazzone joined Tech Data 10 years ago to manage the software product marketing division. She was promoted in 1996 to vice president and general manager of the retail and direct marketers division. Bazzone took the Tech Data Enterprise post last year.

In an e-mail to Tech Data employees, Cano wrote that Curran "has consistently met the business objectives throughout his tenure and will be remembered for his dynamic personal qualities. His dedication, personable style and candor complement the exceptional sales savvy and knowledge he has built over 20 years in technology sales and channel management."
