Equinix and IBM Global Services signed a deal to support a range of hosted services in more of the co-location provider's data centers.
Under the agreement, announced Tuesday, additional Equinix data centers will house and support Web infrastructure services offered by IBM Global Services, according to Mountain View-based Equinix. The IBM services arm already has a hosting pact with Equinix to use four of its sites.
Equinix has a total of seven data centers, which are called Internet Business Exchanges.
IBM Global Services is offering disaster recovery, technology and outsourcing services via Equinix's U.S. facilities. The IT services giant has a similar relationship in place with AT&T.
