The actual value of the deal was not released by the privately held company, but the acquired assets include some personnel, client relationships and contracts, intellectual property and certain intangible assets.

The acquisition is aimed at gathering a stronger breadth of services, geographical reach and "critical mass" to better position eForce to compete with large consulting firms, according to the company.

EForce is funded by investors including Greylock, Norwest Venture Partners, GE Asia Pacific Capital Technology Fund and ITOCHU Corp.

The combined organization will work to leverage mutual strengths to deliver solutions in enterprise portals, enterprise content management, customer relationship management, enterprise application integration, business intelligence, and supply chain management, eForce said.
