Corel Taps Microsoft Veteran To Serve As Channel Chief

Deegan, who most recently worked as a senior managing consultant with Microsoft Consulting Services, assumed his new position at Corel Tuesday.

Deegan began his career in channel sales at Microsoft in 1994 serving as an account executive for Software Spectrum. Following that, he was senior director of sales for Microsoft's South Pacific and Americas region, overseeing channel, strategies, sales, service and marketing for Microsoft's large-account resellers and direct marketing resellers in the United States.

At Corel, Deegan is responsible for strengthening the software company's channel strategy and increasing sales of its enterprise and consumer software products in North America.
