Oki Data Names Krentzman CEO

Stewart Krentzman, who had been Oki Data's executive vice president and COO since 2001, takes over as CEO, as the company continues its heated competition in the printer market against rivals Hewlett-Packard, Lexmark and Xerox.

Krentzman takes the reins from Yoshika Nabeshima, who had been CEO since 2001. Nabeshima will take over the chairman's post, the company said.

At the same time, the company said it was naming Greg Van Acker, who had been Oki Data's director of U.S. channel sales, to vice president of U.S. channel sales. Van Acker will now have additional responsibilities for overseeing the company's channel relationships, commercial reseller accounts and Oki Data's continued entry into the retail space.

The company said Van Acker would focus on increasing the number of Oki Data resellers, as well as growing sales among its current reseller base.
