Siebel Launches Hosted CRM Push, Demos Siebel 7.7

The product components of the strategy include the hosted service; Siebel 7.7, Siebel Analytics 7.7, and Universal Application Network (UAN). The company also announced today that UAN now supports Microsoft Biztalk Server 2004.

Previewed during Siebel's keynote, Siebel 7.7 will include a dashboard for branch banking, an application to manage customer loyalty, and two-way store-and-forward wireless support. It will also provide new functionality to better manage the service life cycle, which the company said will reduce order processing time and lower costs. The company claims that release 7.7 of its CRM suite, scheduled for release Spring 2004, will reduce the total cost of ownership by 39 percent.

Siebel also announced that Siebel Analytics 7.7 will be available in the fourth quarter. The new analytics application will offer new integrated data mining and predictive analysis, support mobile users, work with the services-oriented architecture of Web services, and provide a greater range of visualization formats. The analytics application will integrate and work with workflow systems across an enterprise, enabling users to see and analyze business operations outside of their immediate departments, the company said.
