Mary Motz, president of ProVirtual Solutions, a Perkiomenville, Pa.-based VAR, sells Intranets.com services as tools for virtual assistants, or people who perform administrative support for individuals and small companies.

“Very often we run up against clients that are not tech-savvy and need a way to coordinate tasks,” Motz said. “The Intranets.com solution is perfect for them.”

The company this year plans to add audio and videoconferencing, as well as global messaging, said Rick Faulk, CEO of Intranets.com.

At Promana Technologies, an Intranets.com solution provider in Parsippany, N.J., CEO Larry Katz said he likes that he can rebrand the technology with his logos to make it seem proprietary.

“The No. 1 takeaway for us with this technology is that it’s cost-effective,” he said. “To build and brand these intranets on our own would cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, but with [Intranets.com], we do it for almost nothing.”

List pricing for the service starts at about $10 per month per user, depending on the number of users and the services provided, Faulk said.

Partners earn monthly residuals, with margins running from 30 percent to 70 percent.
