British Telecom Subsidiary Signs Up With Xevo

British Telecom plans to use the software in its IT solutions subsidiary BT Ignite to provision Microsoft Exchange. Ignite offers Exchange via an ASP model.

Ignite is also laying the groundwork to host human resources, e-commerce and productivity applications using Xevo's provisioning software.

Xevo's software also gives Ignite customers the ability to manage their own accounts and view usage reports, the company said.

Ignite joins a growing list of ASP and hosting providers now using Xevo's software, including USinternetworking, Peakhour and GeoNet.

Earlier this month, Xevo named Michael Dering its CEO, replacing interim CEO and current Chairman Hal Chapel. A few days later, Xevo landed $20 million in an investment round led by Advanced Technology Partners and Morgenthaler.
