Citrix Competitor New Moon Signs European Distributor

New Moon

New Moon, which positions its Canaveral IQ platform as a simpler, cheaper alternative to Citrix Systems' MetaFrame platform, said that adtcom Network Computing, a Swiss distributor specializing in thin-client and server-based computing, will immediately begin selling its products.

Adtcom will distribute Canaveral IQ to channel partners in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Switzerland.

"Canaveral IQ provides a server-based computing solution for Microsoft environments which delivers 100 percent of the most important features required by 80 percent of the market at a significantly lower cost," said Marc Lowe, president and CEO of New Moon, in a statement.

The San Jose, Calif.-based vendor signed its first North American distribution relationship in January with Unique Co-operative Solutions Inc. (UCSI), a thin-client and server-based computing specialist based in Overland Park, Kan.
