Verizon Introduces International Private Line, Frame Relay Services

ILX Systems, Mellon Financial, The National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, Nortel Networks and Serono International have signed on for the service, which is delivered over Verizon's fiber-optic backbone with the carrier also managing interconnections with other networks.

Verizon said it plans to introduce other global services later this year such as managed network solutions and extended call-center services in Europe and other overseas markets.
