IT solution provider Ciber is taking another step in the expansion of its business model with the pending acquisition of Decision Consultants, $100 million integration firm, the company announced this week.
Ciber executives say the move is part of its effort to bulk up its portfolio of offerings and clients in preparation for the rebound in the IT services market.
According to a statement released by the companies, the merger is expected to close in the next few weeks, and is projected to be accretive later this year and into 2003.
Decision, which is based in Southfield, Mich., has six U.S. offices and one in Chennai, India. It has a staff of about 900 consultants and about $100 million in annual revenue. Ciber expects the acquisition to contribute net operating income of 8 percent to 10 percent.
With the merger, Ciber will have almost $700 million in annual revenue and close to 6,000 employees operating in seven countries on three continents.
