SMARTS (Systems Management Arts), White Plains, N.Y., plans to add application management capabilities to its InCharge service assurance software with InCharge Application Services Manager.

Nortel Networks, Brampton, Ontario, is adding support for session initiation protocol (SIP) to its Succession line of IP telephony products with Succession Communications Server for Enterprise Multimedia Xchange. The enterprise communications server delivers VoIP, videoconferencing, instant messaging and collaboration tools.

Portland, Ore.-based Tripwire, a provider of data integrity software, is slated to announce version 3.0 of Tripwire for Servers and its accompanying management software, featuring enhanced scalability, manageability and ease of deployment.

The vendor also plans to roll out a Check Point Edition of Tripwire for Servers 3.0, which will be available exclusively through Check Point Software Technologies channel partners. The software protects the integrity of Check Point firewalls and VPN gateways and is managed via the Check Point NG Management Console.

McAfee Security, a division of Santa Clara, Calif.-based Network Associates, plans to unveil a new version of its WebShield e250 and e500 gateway appliances with new transparent inline scanning, which simplifies installation, said Zoe Lowther, McAfee senior product marketing manager.
