PwC Consulting To Resell ATG Offerings
ATG's Enterprise Portal and Scenario Personalization software will be sold as part of PwC Consulting's Integrated Financial Services Solution, according to the companies.
Software from other vendors, including Siebel Systems, SAP, PeopleSoft and FileNet, is part of the bundle.

Al Stoddard, vice president of channels and alliances at Cambridge, Mass.-based ATG, said the PwC Consulting deal would bring to 14 the number of resellers it has signed since January. The developer would like to be working with as many as 30 VARs by the end of the year, he said.
ATG chooses potential partners based on their technological expertise and geographic location, Stoddard said. "This is a very focused effort and [partners should fit because of either an application expertise or [expertise in a vertical market, such as what PwC does for insurance," he said. Partners with a specialization in areas such as e-learning or e-marketing are also of particular interest, he added.
Ray Fiegel, a partner in New York-based PwC Consulting's financial services practice, said PwC Consulting has invested significant resources in recent years to identify products that can be bundled and sold to prospects in the insurance industry, to which the Integrated Financial Services solutions are expected to be marketed most heavily.
"We're excited about the ATG relationship," Fiegel said. "We did a lot of work around the integration of the components and the ability to tie ATG together with, for instance, our policy administration [console to give this thing a common look and feel."
ATG's portal and personalization software also allows PwC Consulting to offer cost-conscious insurance companies portions of the solution, such as access to personalized information, Fiegel said.
Until PwC Consulting completes its IPO, which it filed for last week, it cannot co-sell the Integrated Financial Services package with all of the vendors whose technology is included in the bundle, he said.
Fiegel declined to name those vendors.
