Iogear Adds New Product Line Brand Name To Engage The Channel

Iogear

The connectivity and peripherals vendor plans to unveil high-end keyboard/video/mouse (KVM) switches under a new brand, Altusen, and roll out channel programs aimed specifically at solution providers, according to Miranda Su, Iogear's vice president of sales and marketing. The Altusen line, slated to launch in mid- to late July, will include IP-based KVM switches as well as KVM consoles, switches and matrixes, she said.

"These products really need the VAR touch," Su said. Iogear has primarily sold its accessory products, such as portable storage devices, under its own name through retail and direct marketing channels.

Irvine-based Iogear plans to offer solution providers market development funds, trade show support and express RMA service, including next-day replacement of defective units without the need to send back the old product first, Su said.
