Sterling Commerce Launches Global Partner Program

Sterling Commerce rolled out a new support program Monday for distributors, resellers and referral partners. <P> Called the Global Partner Program, partners gain access to a personalized, password-protected Web site that provides training, a technical support knowledge base and marketing materials. <P> Sterling, a subsidiary of SBC Communications, also established a partner advisory council. <P> Basic participation in the program requires partners to make a minimal investment in development software to receive discounts or royalties on Sterling solutions and to gain access to customer support and educational resources, said the company. <P> The program designations range from bronze to platinum, with benefits varying from joint business planning and discounts on e-business consulting services. <P> In the future, Sterling said it plans to add co-op marketing opportunities and a formalized 90-day implementation process guide for partners.
