EDS, MCI Agree On Settlement

WorldCom and Plano, Texas-based EDS are asking a bankruptcy court in charge of WorldCom's bankruptcy case to approve the settlement. The settlement would end a series of court challenges between the two over the terms of a 1999 agreement in which MCI agreed to supply telecommunications services to EDS.

The settlement calls for EDS to pay MCI WorldCom Communications Inc. $187 million in cash over 12 months. MCI will agree to continue providing the services under terms more favorable to EDS and to pay $14.7 million to EDS.
