Cape Clear Releases New Web Services Platform

As previously reported in CRN, Cape Clear 4--previously code-named Generation 4--simplifies the development of Web services and enables developers to build more scalable solutions than previous versions of the product.

The new platform was originally scheduled to be rolled out at the end of last month. It is available immediately, and pricing starts at $1,500 per developer seat.

Cape Clear 4 includes three integrated products: Studio, Server and Manager, the company said. All three products are available for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Sun Solaris operating systems.

The new platform also adds support for asynchronous messaging tools such as IBM's MQSeries and other JMS-based products, a management console, support for a broader array of transformations across vertical industry standards for various XML schemas, and a task-oriented rapid application development (RAD) environment for developers.
