You know the feeling when you find forgotten money in a coat pocket? Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) sure does. The El Segundo, Calif.-based VAR recently announced it has exceeded its original estimated value of task orders from the U.S. Navy by approximately $200 million. The task orders support the U.S. Navy's Naval Sea System Command's Multiple Award Contracts (NAVSEA MACs) and the Navy's Program Managers for Amphibious and Support Ship Acquisitions. CSC now estimates that the agreements are worth more than $700 million if all options are exercised over the remaining potential 12-year life of the program. The value initially had been estimated at $500 million over 15 years. Since the start of NAVSEA MACs on April 12, 2001, CSC has won 19 task orders to provide acquisition-program management, engineering, logistics and financial-management support for the design, construction and maintenance of U.S. Navy ships and systems. <P>
