In its S-1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Webridge says the Private Exchange it built for Deutsche Bank was operational within nine weeks.
Leveraging the strength of Microsoft's .Net platform, Webridge has attracted a slew of customers including Xerox, Agency.com, Honeywell, NEC and Primedia Learning Systems, says Gary Whitney, Webridge's vice president of marketing.
Webridge was selected by Outboard Marine as the platform for dealerport.com because of its Microsoft platform, ease of integration, sophisticated development environment and ease of learning, says Brian Riordan, director of corporate Internet marketing for the Waukegan, Ill.-based company.
Integration is provided by Proxicom, Complete Business Solutions and Emerald Solutions, with Intel providing online hosting services.
Webridge Private Exchange costs from several hundred thousand dollars to more than a million, depending on functionality, Whitney says.
Following its initial release in 1998, Webridge Private Exchange has been updated three times, including the latest one, Version 4. As of June 30, the company says it has licensed Webridge Private Exchange to 39 companies, with Primedia Workplace Learning and Xerox accounting for 25.1 percent and 10.7 percent, respectively, of its revenue.
Webridge, a private Portland-based company, filed for an initial public offering in March.
