RADIANT SHINES AT FS/TEC
At the Foodservice Technology (FS/TEC) show last month in Long Beach, Calif., Radiant Systems demonstrated its latest POS terminal, self-service kiosk and back-office technology for food-service operators.

The Radiant P1500 Series POS terminal features a 15-inch touch screen, Intel Centrino mobile technology and Windows XP.

"A key goal in food service is to provide fast, consistent service to customers," said Scott Kingsfield, vice president of Atlanta-based Radiant. "Our technology helps operators meet this challenge."

SYMBOL, AMERANTH TEAM UP FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Symbol Technologies, Holtsville, N.Y., and Ameranth Wireless, San Diego, have joined forces to deliver Wi-Fi networking solutions to Medieval Times dinner theaters across the United States and the NBA City Restaurant in Orlando, Fla.

Using Symbol PPT 8800 PDAs bundled with Microsoft's Windows Mobile 2003 and software from Ameranth, wait staff at Medieval Times restaurants,where patrons are seated around a full-size jousting arena,and at NBA City will now be able to take orders at the tables and immediately transmit that information to the kitchen and POS system.
