Los Angeles-based Frontera's customers include Pioneer Electronics, Conseco, Wherehouse Music and Coach.

Ben Horowitz, Loudcloud chief executive, said the acquisition "allows us to add high-quality customers, strengthens Loudcloud's regional presence, and provides operational synergies."

Loudcloud shares were trading up 7 cents, or 2 percent, at $3.08 in late morning trade on Nasdaq. The stock remains off its March IPO price of $6.
