Plumtree Introduces New Corporate Portal

The announcement of 4.5WS is being made in conjunction with the announcement of a beta version of its Microsoft .NET Gadget Development Kit (GDK) that allows developers to write .NET Web services that integrate resources into the Plumtree Corporate Portal.

The announcements were made Wednesday at Plumtree's Web Services and Portals Executive Event in New York.

John Hogan, vice president of engineering for Plumtree, said in a released statement the announcements move forward Plumtree's architecture development aimed at leveraging Web services.

Version 4.5WS, said Hogan, is based completely on a Web Services architecture, which allows the portal to integrate resources developed in different development languages and run on different platforms and networks.
