NTT/Verio Rolls Out New Hosting Framework

The PowerPlatform Hosting framework is broken out into four offerings: hosting, managed services, support and portal. The goal of the new platform is to give solution providers and their customers the ability to build out their infrastructure in a modular fashion and on a demand basis.

The hosting platform includes a rapid rollout solution that offers a pre-set menu of services or a pre-set bundle for entry level customers. The platform also features modular solutions, which include standardized server configurations and services for midmarket companies, and co-location services.

The managed services range from advanced network services and security and storage solutions to monitoring and reporting and managed application services.

New services introduced Tuesday include a global caching and global server load balancing service for delivering Web content, more in-depth fault- and performance-monitoring capabilities, and outsourced problem management for performance and fault-based alerts from the network through the application layers.

The new support offering ranges from basic support that is offered to all customers to enhanced support offerings that include dedicated account managers.

The new portal offering gives service providers and customers online access to account summaries, status reports, online requests, trouble ticketing and server monitoring.
