HP To Acquire .Net Solution Provider

The deal was announced Wednesday by Ann Livermore, executive vice president for HP Services, during a keynote speech at the HP World conference in Atlanta. In acquiring Extreme Logic, HP is gaining Microsoft's Certified Technical Education Center Partner of the Year for North America.

"We believe this is going to be a very critical area of expertise," Livermore said.

The addition of Extreme Logic will give HP a boost in needed .Net software development as well as business -process expertise, said Ray Arndt, vice president of HP's Services Consulting and Integration business.

"This will be a critical part of our .Net service," he said.

Extreme Logic has 200 employees and is based in Atlanta. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
