No-Reboot Fibre-Channel HBAs For Windows From JNI
The ZStar HBAs let solution providers fine-tune I/O performance by selecting from a list of server application environments, including Streaming (larger blocks with sustained I/O), Transactional (smaller blocks with variable I/O) or Minimize CPU utilization (to conserve CPU for other tasks). Any changes can be made dynamically without rebooting the server.
The new HBAs are compatible with Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows 2003 32-bit and 64-bit Server and Enterprise Server OS platforms. A broad range of Fibre Channel SAN hardware and software is supported, including products from Dell, HP, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, Brocade, McDATA, Gadzoox, Q Logic, ADIC, ATL/Quantum, StorageTek, Legato, Veritas, CA and Microsoft. A Linux driver should be available by the end of the year.
