IBM Tailors A Content Manager For Smaller Customers

DB2 Content Manager Express, now available for Windows 2000 and soon to ship for Linux, is $9,375 per server plus $1,063 per user, the company said Wednesday.

Most of the major software vendors are avidly courting the SMB crowd. Oracle recently expanded its Oracle 9i database offerings to include a lower-priced SKU for smaller businesses. Most observers see this as an attempt to wrest these customers from Microsoft SQL Server.
