NetSuite Adds Two Sales-Focused Executives

The company said Michael R. Williams is now senior vice president of worldwide sales, responsible for all of its international, direct and channel sales efforts. James Ramsey is NetSuite's new vice president of small and medium business sales. He responsible for NetSuite's internal sales organization.

"We will double all of our sales teams next year," said Zach Nelson, president and CEO of NetSuite. "[Williams and Ramsey] are getting us ready for that." Nelson also told CRN that Susan Gallagher will become NetSuite's director of channel sales. In that role, she will report to Williams.

Before joining NetSuite, based in San Mateo, Calif., Williams was senior vice president of Exodus Communications (now a part of Cable and Wireless). In his four years at Exodus, Williams took the company from no sales to $300 million, added 172 salespeople and 2,000 new customers.

Ramsey joins NetSuite from Oracle, where he most recently was sales director of the West. He also created and directed many sales organizations at Oracle, including the group that managed all mid-market sales to the central U.S. and Canada.

NetSuite's products include Oracle Small Business Suite, NetERP, NetCRM and the self-named NetSuite.

Nelson said the company plans to grow from its current 200 employees to more than 300 by this time next year. He also said he will double the size of NetSuite's channel-focused team to 30 people.
