Synnex Offers Fujitsu Mobile Products to U.S. Market

Specifically, Synnex will carry the full line of Fujitsu mobile computer products and accessories, including the vendor's LifeBook notebook PCs and Stylistic Tablet PCs.

Previously, Fujitsu leveraged distribution to tackle the Canadian market, but maintained a direct coverage model in the United States. The new strategy reflects an effort to better target the SMB market and specific verticals, such as health care and government. While the products are not currently listed on Synnex's GSA Schedule, resellers can incorporate them into bids on other federal or state and local contracts.

"[The agreement shows that] we've been successful [in the Canadian market] and have something to bring to the table," says Dave Strickland, vice president of product marketing for mobile solutions.

This comes less than a month after the announcement that Synnex would be among only a few authorized to distribute Panasonic's Toughbook notebook computers for the federal market. "We're always trying to grow our offerings," Strickland says. "This allows us to bring more resellers to the Fujitsu product, and [subsequently] to the end customer. It's outstanding news for Synnex, Fujitsu, and our customers."
