In an effort to address the accounting needs of public-sector organizations, Dallas-based Tyler Technologies and Microsoft will jointly develop core public-sector functionality for Microsoft Dynamics AX, the software giant's line of business-management solutions for customers of any size. The initiative will provide the two companies with an accounting platform to support existing and prospective clients.
Tyler will become an authorized Microsoft reseller for the Microsoft Dynamics solutions that target the government market. Tyler also will receive license and maintenance royalties on sales of the solutions developed under the multiyear term of this relationship. Tyler and Microsoft plan to deliver the platform in 2009.
