A technical issue caused Tech Data's Internet connection to fail last Friday, preventing solution providers from being able to order from its Web site.

And on Monday, a fire suppression incident shut down the ordering system for a brief period of time, according to the spokesman. No further details on what caused the incidents were immediately available, he said.

Solution providers were still able to place orders by telephone through the online disruptions, and the Clearwater, Fla.-based distributor's online system was fully functional Tuesday, the spokesman said.
