A phone is not a phone when the user works in homeland security or first response. Instead, a phone is an advanced communication device that can help save lives. That's leaves a heavy burden on telecom providers and manufacturers.
Rising to the challenge are AT&T and Motorola, who jointly released the M900 with extended network coverage for government customers. The M900's specially designed vehicle interfaces focus on dependability and accessibility in a pinch, allowing the homeland security and first response community to confidently stay connected while in the field; AT&T's network provides the connectivity.
The unit installs easily into service vehicles and provides extended coverage through a 2-watt radio frequency amplification that enhances connections in urban and remote locations.
A high-resolution graphic display with an adjustable blue backlight contrast setting improves visibility, well-spaced tactile keys make for easy dialing, and a voice-activation function improves efficiency and the ability to respond quickly in an emergency situation. Background noise and echo is minimized, as well.
Pricing for the M900 ranges depending on the package purchased.
