The project will likely consist of systems integration, software and independent verification and validation. Input anticipates the project to begin in Spring 2008.
Oregon
Department of State Police
Contract/Program: Oregon Wireless Interoperability Network (OWIN)
Value: A line item in the state budget for a public safety communication system lists $665 million
Description: Will provide common telecommunications connectivity throughout the state. Management and financing issues have held up the project. Supporters will request funds to come up with a solution for Oregon Legislature to consider in 2008.

Contract/Program: Call Center and Integrated Eligibility Support
Value: Input estimates between $500 million and $800 million
Description: The design, implementation and operation of an integrated, statewide system to support the determination of eligibility for health and human services programs. The state plans to transition the integrated eligibility services and maintenance from Accenture, executing short-term contracts and completing a plan that defines the long-term procurement strategies. Responses for one request for information were due June 2007, while another is expected to be released within four to nine months.

Description: Provides state agencies with IT hardware, including PCs, thin clients, servers, connectivity devices, power supplies, storage, printers and peripherals. Incumbent contracts expected to be replaced prior to December 2007.
