Oracle's Rauline Ochs Named Channel Executive of the Year

Last week Ochs was named Channel Executive of the Year at the XChange '07 conferencein Orlando. The award was presented on behalf of VARBusiness, CRN, the Institute for Partner EducationDevelopment and the XChange Group, all part of CMP Technology's Channel Group. CMP Channel president Robert Faletra and vice president/editorial director Robert DeMarzo presented Ochs with the coveted award.

Ochs joined Oracle in 2003 after distinguished stints within the partner organizations at BEA Systems and IBM. At Oracle she leads a team of managers responsible for Oracle sales through channel partners including VARs, systems integrators, ISVs and hardware vendors. Ochs won the Channel Executive of the Year Award through her work to expand Oracle's reliance on and engagement with partners across all its commercial markets, and to port the company's industry-defining sales methodology to the channel to ensure that everyone was speaking the same language to customers.

Ochs efforts are paying off: In this year's VARBusiness Annual Report Card Oracle was named the #1 vendor in partner satisfaction in the Data and Information Management Software category and tied for first in the Business Software " Management category. The Annual Report Card measures the level of channel partner satisfaction with vendors in the areas of partnership, product innovation, support and loyalty.
