Dell CFO Resigns, Replacement Named

Gladden will get the CFO title June 13 and report to chairman and CEO Michael Dell.

Gladden previously was president and CEO of SABIC Innovative Plastics Holding BV, formerly known as GE Plastics. The company had $7 billion in revenue and 10,000 employees in 20 countries.

Carty had joined Dell as vice chairman and CFO in January 2007. He previously had retired in 2003 as chairman and CEO of AMR Corp. and American Airlines, where he hd served since 1998. He will remain on Dell's board.

"We look forward to welcoming Brian as an operationally focused CFO whose skills in running multi-billion-dollar enterprises and substantial experience with an industry leader make him an ideal fit for the global economies in which we operate."
