Everything Channel Adds Marketing Services To Its SP-Specific Offerings
June 17, 2008 4:16 PM ET
Everything Channel (formerly CMP Channel), the parent company of Channelweb, announced it has added marketing services for solution providers to its portfolio. Designed to help solution providers locate new end user business opportunities, the service offerings include:
- Marketing communication plans, strategies and tactics
- MDF/co-op plans that meet application and usage requirements
- Lead generation campaigns
- Web enhancements
- Awareness and message development
- Events
- Sales tools and sales collateral
Everything Channel's Marketing Services for Solution Providers will be led by Tony Serino, who before joining Everything Channel in 2008 notched 20 years of experience in high-tech channel marketing, including stints at Avnet, Arrow, Sun Microsystems, Akamai and HP.
"If you look at the history of the business, [solution providers] tend to be technical people and salespeople at heart, and not always especially good at promoting their business," Serino told ChannelWeb. "And that's what our specialty is -- not only do we have expertise, but also properties in a wide breadth of media outlets. It only makes sense to offer a suite of marketing services to build upon those outlets."
"It takes someone who's worked in a wide range of sales, marketing and executive roles at and for solution providers to know how to think like one," said Kate Spellman, SVP marketing, Everything Channel. "We look forward to working closely with solution providers to help them create new marketing programs that will help them fill their opportunity pipelines and grow their businesses."
"One of the real keys is that we understand their business," Serino added. "You'd be very hard pressed to find any marketing services agency or advertising agency that is a specialist in their business. What does a channel business do? It's not a concise answer, and it can mean anything from two or three people working out of their garage to IBM Global Services and EDS, which have more resources than the federal government. We can provide the solution provider, whatever their level, with whatever set of marketing services they need."
