Rob McKernan's latest channel achievements at APC by Schneider Electric, West Kingston, R.I., are dej' vu all over again. The channel veteran left the vendor for Phillips Business Solutions in 2002 after 12 years with APC, rejoined the company on the channel side in 2006 and was named president of APC's North America business in July 2008.

This past year, as the vice president of North American channels, McKernan launched a new Channel Partner Program with enhanced training and opportunities for partner success. With the new program in hand, McKernan describes how he and his "top-line APC channel executives hit the road on a cross-country tour called 'Capitalize 2008' to personally meet, educate and learn from APC partners."

Shortly after mobilizing the new program and adding additional APC resources to the channel team, McKernan was appointed President, North America. In his new role, he continues to be highly involved with APC's channel partners, overseeing APC's channel sales and marketing teams, participating in APC's Partner Advisory Council, and meeting regularly with partner firms to align strategy and goals.
