Rugged mobile handset maker Psion Teklogix rolled out a new global channel partner program for resellers this week, the company said. The program includes new partner tiers, repair and tech support services and a joint marketing development fund.
"Our channel is a valuable asset to Psion Teklogix and we are collaborating with our partners to deliver the most highly customized, rugged and reliable mobile devices on the market today," said Ron Caines, president of worldwide sales at London-based Psion Teklogix, in a statement.
Psion Teklogix makes rugged, business-targeted handheld computers that are used for mobile applications such as barcode scanning and data collection.
Channel partners will now have silver, gold or platinum status with Psion Teklogix, while select resellers will be asked to participate in a new partner council that will strategize with the vendor and provide feedback from the larger reseller community.
The handset maker’s I-serv repair and support unit, available to partner in both a pre-sales and post-sales capacity, includes a help desk, on-site services and field services. Marketing services available to Psion Teklogix partners include co-branded campaigns and MDF funds available based on hitting sales goals.
The vendor also provides resellers, distributors, developers and customers with an online community called Ingenuity Working to foster collaboration on mobile computing solutions for businesses.
“Psion Teklogix's partner program is more than a traditional channel program, it's a system that offers the service and product environment we need to support our customers," said Lorne Rubis, president and CEO of Bellingham, Wash.-based mobile technology solution provider Ryzex.
Psion Teklogix has U.S. headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.
