Solution providers Riata Technologies has been acquired by White Glove Technologies to create what the companies claim is the “largest IT managed services provider (MSP) that is headquartered in and focused exclusively on serving small and medium-sized businesses in Texas.”

The combined entity will be known as White Glove Technologies and will exceed $10 million in annual sales with 80 employees in three offices in Austin and San Antonio.

Riata CEO Tommy Wald will serve as CEO of the combined company and Carey Balzer, president of White Glove, will continue in that role.

“We are excited to join forces with White Glove. With over 7,500 devices managed, we are now the clear leader in Texas,” Wald said in a statement. “This combination allows us to draw from a larger pool of talent and positions us to more efficiently deliver business-empowering technology innovations involving virtualization, the cloud, and Infrastructure as a service.”

Riata’s Tony Williams will serve as executive vice president of operations, according to Wald.

Riata marks the second acquisition for White Gloves this year, according to Balzer.

“Riata is the perfect fit. They have a strong team that has consistently delivered quality services to their client base through best in class practices that are second to none,” Balzer said in a statement. “By pooling the talent and resources of both companies, we will be able to more quickly take advantage of evolving IT trends to the benefit of our clients while providing new opportunities for our employees.”

The company’s goal is to grow the company and more locations across Texas and the Southwest, according to a letter released by Wald on his Facebook page.

“As you can tell, I have a big challenge and opportunity ahead of me and have no plans to retire anytime soon! It is indeed a momentous event to get a company to this point,” wrote Wald.
