InfoLogix To Be Acquired By Stanley Black & Decker

InfoLogix, which specializes in systems integration, mobile workstations and asset management for the health-care and commercial sectors, will become part of Stanley's Healthcare Solutions group. It's part of a diversification strategy for Stanley, which bought Black & Decker for $4.5 billion in stock earlier this year, and recently raised its earnings outlook for the year following gains from the merger.

"With a strong leadership team and talented employee base, we plan to leverage InfoLogix's expertise in mobility solutions, clinical integration services and mobile managed services in expanding our growing security and health-care businesses," said Brian Kaner, CFO and COO of Stanley Convergent Security/Healthcare Solutions, in a statement.

InfoLogix, based in Hatboro, Pa., and ranked No. 273 on CRN's 2010 VAR 500 list, had 2009 gross revenue of about $89.3 million, down more than 10 percent from posted 2008 gross revenue of $100 million.

"By combining InfoLogix's technologies, solutions and customer relationships together with Stanley's suite of health-care products and services, intellectual property and global presence, we will be uniquely positioned in the health-care and mobility marketplaces," said David Gulian, president and CEO of InfoLogix, in a statement.
