Channel Veteran McBain To Leave Autotask

On his Facebook page, McBain confirmed he was leaving the East Greenbush, N.Y.-based professional services automation platform company and added that his next job would likely be revealed in a month or so. "If I were a betting man, more details will be revealed in 30 days @ SMBNation in Las Vegas," McBain said.

McBain joined Autotask last December in a much-publicized move after spending 16 years with IBM and then Lenovo, where he was director of small and medium business when he left.

A spokesman at Autotask said McBain is still employed by Autotask by plans to leave by the end of the year.

Landing McBain was seen as a coup for Autotask as he was a veteran and popular channel leader with VARs during his IBM/Lenovo days.
