Catalyst Telecom has launched a new Web-based tool called FastQuote to help resellers create more accurate quotes for Avaya IP Office solutions.

The tool guides solution providers through qualifying questions that produce customized budgetary notes and reports in just a few minutes, according to Catalyst Telecom, a sales unit of ScanSource focusing on voice, video and data convergence solutions.

Solution providers also can track closure rates, quotes in progress and opportunity and lead status using FastQuote, according to John Gaillard, vice president of sales at Catalyst Telecom.

"Now more than ever, resellers need to find ways to make the sale quicker. And with FastQuote, resellers are able to expedite the quoting process, enabling them to spend more time on closing the sale and less time on pulling pricing -- this capability for quick-quote turnaround has not been available before for IP Office," said Gaillard said in a statement. "This is just one more way we're trying to make it easier for resellers to grow their business and serve as a valuable partner to their end-user customers."

FastQuote is also accessible from mobile devices, which allows solution providers to create and track quotes in the field and quotes can be customized to include a VAR's logo and specific contact information, according to Catalyst Telecom.

Solution providers can also push the quote into Catalyst Telecom's existing Configuration Tool to configure the solution, add products or modify the solution.
