Kaseya Industry Experts: Giving MSPs The Know-How To Grow

A new program from Kaseya aims to match MSPs with third-party business and technology executives to help them give their business a boost.

The Kaseya Industry Experts program includes resources from eight companies and organizations, although Kaseya is looking to add more as the program grows, said Liz Lederer, vice president of global field marketing at Kaseya.

"We were looking at our MSPs and the common issues they have, whether it's sales and marketing or operational and ROI. Most [MSPs] start a company because they know the technology and know they can do a better job, but once they start they don't often look at the future, how to differentiate and sell value," Lederer said. "They want to add services, they're looking to find out how to hire and compensate personnel and keep their financial goals in line with the business, but they don't know how."

Kaseya's Industry Experts roster includes AntFarm, ClikCloud, Juran Institute, MSP University, MSP Sales Pro, The Taylor Business Group, Technology Marketing Toolkit and Transmentum. Free monthly Webinars and introductory discounts from vendors for their own products and services are included. Beyond that, the relationship is between the MSP and the industry expert, Lederer said.

"We believe there are issues that have stopped customers from growing their business or they want to make sure they will be around for years to come. We look to create a mutually beneficial platform to connect experts and do it in multitouch approach," Lederer said. "We've created this ecosystem of experts where everybody is treated equally. No question is off limits. We want customers to improve their marketing efforts, create new services and gain operational efficiencies."

One example of a discount from an Industry Expert is ClickCloud offering a health check for free to MSPs that normally retails for $695, Lederer said. Each industry expert is responsible for its own discount or promotion to attract MSPs, she said.

"Requests for this type of content have been overwhelming," Lederer said. "For a sales and marketing team, it gives them more [information] to market to their install base but also to help with prospects."

The Webinars will be archived and available to Kaseya partners as will white papers and other information from the industry experts, she said.
