Tech Data Hires Ingram Exec To Head Technical Services

The Clearwater, Fla.-based distributor has named ex-Ingram Micro executive Bill Brooks to head up technical services. Brooks spent more than 25 years at Ingram, most recently as senior director of technical support and customer service. He was in charge of Ingram's customer service and technical support teams and was also responsible for identifying and implementing operational efficiency opportunities, according to Tech Data.

At Tech Data, Brooks replaces Barb Miller, who stepped down a couple months ago after almost 9 years with the distributor.
