    Quarterly Survey Predicts Workforce Boost
    Job creation may be back on track, according to a Q4 2003 survey of 80 executives from the VARBusiness 500, our annual ranking of North America's largest solution providers. Two-thirds (66.3 percent) of the executives surveyed by our research partner, Boston-based Bernett Research Services, anticipated adding employees during Q1 2004. That's up from 55 percent in the previous quarter--the highest jump in the history of this survey. Only 2.5 percent are planning a reduction in their workforce, and the remaining 31.2 percent expect to retain their present employment level.
