Cloud ERP application vendor Acumatica has tapped former Microsoft executive Christian Lindberg to manage the company's ISV partner program.

As vice president of partner solutions Lindberg will be responsible for growing Acumatica's ecosystem of ISVs who develop applications that work with Acumatica's cloud enterprise resource management and financial software, the company said Thursday.

"With his experience and expertise in this space, [Lindberg] is the perfect candidate to drive partnerships with ISVs to deliver the solutions that benefit customers and raise Acumatica’s profile even further," said Stijn Hendrikse, Acumatica chief marketing officer, in a statement.

The ISV program already has more than 60 partners including companies like Acellos, JAAS Systems and Jamis Software who develop vertical applications; as well as such partners as ADP, Avalara and CompuPay whose software products and service are integrated with Acumatica's software.

"There is just a phenomenal opportunity here," Lindberg said in a statement. "Acumatica technology, teamed up with the Microsoft Azure [cloud computing] platform, gives customers a whole new way of consuming business solutions. We're better together."

Before joining Kirkland, Wash.-based Acumatica Lindberg worked at Microsoft as part of the company's Dynamics applications partner organization, responsible for solution sales and marketing strategy. He managed the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics program and the Dynamics Marketplace, including working with Microsoft partners developing or selling packaged products and vertical solutions. Altogether he worked at Microsoft for more than 11 years.

Before joining Microsoft Lindberg worked for Navision/Damgaard in Denmark and Germany.
