Novell: Thinking Outside The 'Dropbox' (Video)

How do remote employees provide access from their mobile devices to enterprise file shares? While the popular answer to that question these days is a cloud-based solution like Dropbox or Google Drive, Novell's Eric Varness has an alternative. With the launch of Filr, Novell's new mobile solution for secure file sharing, IT departments can provide remote workers with secure access to files while having full control by leveraging its existing infrastructure.

Here, Varness details Novell's plans to separate itself with the likes of Dropbox in the file-sharing space by focusing on organizations that struggle with moving their critical information to the cloud.
