Partner Feedback Wanted: SAP Plans July Partner Exec Summit

"This will be a networking, brainstorming event," said Troy Richardson, senior vice president and general manager of SAP's North America ecosystem and channels group, in an interview at the Sapphire Now conference in Orlando, Fla. "We want to know how we can double [partners'] business value working with SAP."

The event, the SAP Americas Partner Leadership Summit, is slated for July 29-31 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Rodolpho Cardenuto, president of SAP Americas, hinted at the planned event Monday evening following the channel keynote speech by Eric Duffaut, SAP president and corporate officer, global ecosystems and channels. Cardenuto, who assumed his current role in January, was previously president of SAP Latin America and the Caribbean, and under his direction, similar channel partner meetings were held for that region.

SAP regularly holds channel partner meetings that often coincide with the company's annual sales kickoff meetings. But those tend to be sales-focused, and the new event is designed for top executives at partner companies.

SAP's Sapphire Now event is underway in Orlando where some 500 partners are among the 20,000 attendees.
