Vendors pitched a bevy of exciting, new solutions and services at CRN's XChange Solution Provider 2014 Conference, from small form-factor PCs to new reseller programs.

Intel's focus was on multitasking and convertible devices, as it showed off all-in-one and two-in-one devices from Lenovo and Dell, all running Windows 8.1 The real star of the show, however, was the Intel Nook, a small 4-by-4-inch PC running on a fourth-generation Haswell CPU.

Buffalo’s booth also was Windows-focused, featuring its Network Storage (NAS) product line. The company's NAS products scaled from small two-bit units to 32-TB desktop boxes.

"The advantages of the Windows platform are tighter integration opportunities with Windows domains and environments,” said Buffalo Channel Manager Bill Rhodes.

IDrive promoted its reseller program, hoping to extend the brand to the channel with unlimited numbers of accounts and co-branding opportunities for VARs. The company's Express Service allows VARs to upload and encrypt 1 TB of data with 246-bit AES encryption in under a week.
