Former CompuCom CEO Lands At Girl Scouts Of The USA

After a long history at solution provider stalwarts, former CompuCom CEO Tony Doye has left the channel to take a position as interim CIO of the Girl Scouts of the USA.

According to Doye's LinkedIn profile, he officially took the position in December and is responsible for supporting the leadership team with major technology deployments, business processes and more. He replaces former CIO Maggie Miller, who left the Girl Scouts of the USA for a position as CIO of the New York State Office of Information Technology Services.

Doye left Dallas-based CompuCom on Aug. 4 of last year to pursue other opportunities, the company confirmed at the time. He was replaced in the interim by former CEO and Chairman Jim Dixon and a permanent replacement was found in February with the appointment of Don Doctor, former executive chairman.

CompuCom said it was happy for Doye in his new appointment, but declined to comment further. CRN also reached out to Doye, but had not heard back at the time of publication.

Since bringing on Doctor as Doye's replacement, the $2.2 billion solution provider has made some big moves for the business, including, most recently, the sale of its software business to $3.3 billion solution provider SoftwareONE. The sale included CompuCom's Microsoft licensing business, which CRN reported last fall was in jeopardy of losing its Licensing Solution Provider status because of missed revenue targets.

Doye has a long executive history, with more than 30 years of experience at some of the industry's largest solution providers.

He joined CompuCom in November 2012 as CEO.

Starting in April 2010, he served as CEO of Fujitsu Americas, where he was recognized for helping the company integrate diverse business units and launch cloud and outsourcing practices. Before that, he was a senior vice president at Unisys, No. 17 on the CRN SP500 list, where he led the solution provider's global outsourcing and infrastructure services business.

He has also held a variety of executive roles at CSC, No. 4 on the CRN SP500, including group president of corporate strategy and group president of commercial outsourcing, Americas.
