CRN Exclusive: SADA Systems Hires Former Neudesic Exec To Boost Microsoft Business

Cloud computing services provider SADA Systems has brought on its first-ever vice president of consulting services, placing former Neudesic executive Mitesh Patel in the position of leading service delivery for SADA’s Microsoft practice.

’My goal is to increase deal size and to increase headcount and to build a scalable delivery model whether it's on-shore, off-shore or some hybrid model that allows the team to deliver effective, competitive professional services, and that is what I’ve been doing for the last 20-something years,’ Patel told CRN exclusively.

Patel comes to North Hollywood, Calif.-based SADA Systems, No. 342 on the 2016 CRN 2016 Solution Provider 500 list, from Microsoft partner Neudesic, No. 225 on the 2016 CRN SP500 list, where he held a number of executive positions.

Patel said that experience, along with the rest of his 22 years in sales and account management, is what will help him grow SADA Systems’ Microsoft practice.

SADA Systems is planning to increase its average deal size to enterprise-level scale, according to Patel, who said he is looking to increase the ocmpany's Microsoft-related headcount by 50 percent. He hopes to add 20 to 30 more people in his first year, he said.

Patel said he is excited to work with SADA Systems on delivering consulting services around Microsoft on the West Coast.

’I strongly believe Microsoft will continue to be one of the leaders, if not the leader, in the cloud space. The amount of investment and innovation that is happening there, especially under the new leadership … is just phenomenal. … They are innovating; they are now the ’cool’ company,’ he said.

Moving forward, Patel said he wants to re-introduce customers to Microsoft through SADA Systems, leveraging the fact that his new company is a full-service consultancy.

In his previous position, Patel was focused on Microsoft Enterprise and Partner Group-classified accounts with an average deal size of $250,000, according to a statement by SADA.

There, Patel said he was tasked with rebuilding the company’s market position between Boston and Atlanta, working with companies including Johnson & Johnson, DuPont, Harvard Business School, the American Cancer Society and ADP.

Now, he said, he's looking forward to growing SADA’s Microsoft practice in the same way.

SADA was named a Microsoft Partner Finalist for Cloud Productivity In 2016, one year after the company won 2015 Microsoft Partner of the Year for Cloud Packaged Solutions.

He said he is excited to start growing SADA’s Microsoft practice in his new position, but he is also looking forward to his move to the West Coast from Philadelphia because he can leave his snowblower behind. ’I’m looking forward to never having to shovel snow again,’ he said.
